BIO
Juan is a Mexican-American designer, artist and writer currently based in London, UK. He graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture cumlaude from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, USA in 2019 and obtained a Master of Architecture in Architectural Design with distinction from the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL in 2022, where he currently teaches computational design skills at the graduate level. After obtaining his M.Arch, he joined ACME as an architectural designer, where he has contributed to commercial, residential, cultural and urban projects in the UK, China, Europe and the Middle East. His independent design and artistic work has been exhibited in Mexico, London and the US, and his texts have been published in English and in Spanish in Mexico and the US. He is interested in how the history of places, materials, tools and techniques can progress new meanings for the objects and organisms in our environment.
